Marni has invited 12 Chinese creative leaders from different fields to personalize the design series on the Marni winter 2010 handbags. This 12-bit characters selection is based on their unique personal perspective and creative inspiration. Marni give the guest designers the freedom to personalize their design series on the winter bags, and the final design will be on Saturday, September 18, Beijing financial Street Mall Crawford Marni store in a reception organised by the auction. Sponsors of the event are Portuguese (SI branch of Chinese consumers, Dorothy).
Part of the proceeds from the auction will be donated to the dandelion project, used to finance the first non-profit school in Beijing – the dandelion school to help the children of low-income migrant workers access to quality education. Dandelion project is made up of more than more than 100 women formed a volunteer organization, in 2005, by JonesDay Ye Xiaowei, a partner of the law firm lawyer and former United States Ambassador to wife, Sarah Randt, co-founder, owned by the China Women's Development Foundation under the all China Women's Federation.
Since 2007, Marni began actively engaged philanthropy, paying particular attention to Latin America, and India and poor children in Sierra Leone in West Africa. Marni is honored to have the opportunity to work with the famous Chinese artists and business leaders work together to support a children's charity in China.
